DogHQ Life is being built as a long-term decision platform for dog owners — not a blog and not a shop.
Why we exist
Every dog decision — a bed, a harness, a food, a training approach, an insurance policy — starts the research from scratch. You answer the same questions about your dog over and over, and the answers you get are written for everybody's dog rather than yours.
DogHQ Life flips that around. You describe your dog once. That profile then shapes what we show you across products, tools, guides and breed information.
What we will not do
- We do not publish invented statistics, fake reviews, fake customer counts or fabricated veterinary endorsements.
- We do not diagnose, treat or prevent disease. Health topics point you to a licensed veterinarian.
- We do not disguise commercial placements. Sponsored and affiliate content is labelled wherever it appears.
Where we are today
This is an early release, and we would rather ship something small and genuinely useful than something large and half-finished. Right now that means dog profiles, a rules-based breed matching quiz, twelve editorially written breed profiles, a set of free tools and a growing library of decision-focused articles.
Personalized product recommendations currently use clearly labelled sample products while we build real, disclosed partnerships. We would rather show you a placeholder than a paid link pretending to be a recommendation.
How our recommendations work
Our matching is transparent and rules-based: we compare the traits you tell us about your household and your dog against structured attributes we maintain for each breed and product category. It is not artificial intelligence, and we do not present it as science. Read our editorial policy for the full detail.
